2011 Napa Valley Pinot Noir
This is 100% estate grown, single vineyard, pinot noir from one of our vineyards in the Napa Valley's Oak Knoll appellation. It is a true Napa Valley Pinot Noir.
It is hand picked at the precise ripeness, cold soaked on skins, gently pressed and aged in 50% new French oak barrels primarily from Marsannay and Francois Freres, for eleven months..
With a garnet hue, the wine has a lovely bouquet of ripe strawberries and cream. The predominant flavor is black cherry, with cassis notes, enhanced by hints of brioche on the lingering finish. When garnering 92 points at the World Wine Championships, judges appreciated “aromas and flavors of ripe cherries, mocha, and violets.
