Wulff Family Vineyards

Our Oak Knoll District vineyard provides fruit for some premier Napa producers and we keep just a small number of select rows for ourselves. The “sweet spot” of this AVA allows us to grow a range of varietals side by side with long even growing seasons kissed by the fog layer and blessed with a large diurnal shift coupled with silty, loam and clay soils with moderate gravel. This allows the fruit to develop excellent complexity and character.

The Atlas Peak estate (Villa Lobo) is reserved entirely for our own flagship wine, the Atlas Peak Cabernet and when possible, our Merlot. At 1350′ in elevation and slopes greater than 14 degrees on volcanic rock, it requires all hand farming, stressing both the vines and our team to access them. Due to the terrain, only 4 acres are planted here with consistently low yields due to the extreme conditions in addition to close-row planting to encourage competition.
